Hello everybody! Welcome to my first blog post! This blog is to be a supplement to my website (http://www.plantpoweredforlife.com) where I offer email support services to help people transition to a whole foods plant based diet. My website has background info about myself and the numerous reasons everyone would benefit from eating a whole foods plant based diet (WFPBD). You can also buy my e-book, The Ultimate Guide to Transitioning to a Plant Based Diet there. A WFPBD is the only diet shown to prevent and reverse chronic diseases such as heart disease. It is based on solid science and has been very effective in patients whose doctors promote this way of eating. I truly enjoy learning more and more about its vast benefits and can’t wait to share how easy and rewarding this lifestyle can be for all of you. In future blog posts I plan on sharing recipes, travel tips, restaurant reviews, product reviews, news, and more. I am really excited to have a way to share my passion for health and good nutrition with others and hope to inspire others to make positive changes in their lives.
Since this is my first post, I thought I would introduce myself a little here. My name is Carmen and I am a registered nurse and certified in plant based nutrition. I live in TN with my husband and 2 boys. We all transitioned to a WFPBD in 2012 after learning about all its benefits. We have all experienced positive health effects from lower cholesterol and better blood sugar levels to improved asthma. We get sick with colds and such much less frequent now, and when we do get sick, it is typically milder and shorter in duration than before. Yay for plants! It has been so much fun trying new recipes and foods and I can’t wait to help you get started on your own personal journey to optimal health.
