Oil-Free Potato Wedge Fries

My family and I love these fries! You can’t find oil free fries anywhere, even in the freezer section. Simple solution…. make your own. These don’t even need a fancy fry cutter or anything. They are soft and creamy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. I can still remember when I was probably about middle school aged and ate at a restaurant in an airport one time and they had put dill on my fries. I had never even heard of doing that before and I absolutely loved it! So now, I always put dill on my fries 🙂

Oil- Free Potato Wedge Fries

4 potatoes, sliced in wedges

dried dill

garlic and onion powders

sea salt

malt vinegar, optional

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. First, you will need to cut your potatoes into wedges. I cut my potatoes in half along the “equator”, then slice lengthwise into wedges. Then place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. (The parchment paper is crucial so they don’t stick) Then sprinkle the wedges with seasonings and salt to your liking. Then arrange potatoes so that they are all in a single layer. Bake for 20 minutes. Take them out and flip them all over to the other side and bake another 20 minutes. At this point they may be ready or you may want to put them under the broiler for about 5 minutes to brown them more. I love to drizzle mine with malt vinegar (just like fish and chips). So good!!!
