Low-Fat Guacamole

Guacamole is a great spread or dip for those eating oil-free plant-based diets. Almost everyone loves guacamole and it is so quick and easy to make. It is a great replacement for mayo on sandwiches and it can replace sour cream in Mexican dishes. It is also a great dip for veggies or crackers. However, guacamole is high in fat and calories for those tying to lose or maintain their weight. Here is a yummy version that is just as delicious.

Low-Fat Guacamole

1/2 avocado

1 c. green peas, thawed

3 Tbsp. lime juice

1 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1-3 tsp. cilantro, finely chopped

Add all ingredients except cilantro to a food processor and blend until combined. Then stir in the cilantro and serve.
